美国开设音乐表演专业的学校有几千所，主要可以分为三类： 独立的音乐学院
综合性大学下的音乐学院 。 音乐表演的分类 Trings 弦乐(Violin 小提琴、Viola 中提琴、Cello 大提琴、Double Bass 低音提琴、Harp 竖琴、Guitar 吉他)
Percussion 打击乐器 Piano 钢琴 Vocal Performance 声乐（歌剧，美声，流行等） 音乐表演硕士学位设置一般为MM（Master of Music），学制基本为2年。
GPA ：托福/雅思是国际学生申请必须提供的语言成绩。音乐表演对托福要求没有那么高，一般要求80，例如Curtis要求时79-80，University of Michigan要求是88，曼哈顿音乐学院研究生TOEFL要求79；如果语言成绩不达标，也可以选择提供双录取的大学比如旧金山音乐学院，OCU等学校； ：音乐类专业基本不太需要提供GRE，只有少部分综合类院校需要提供。但如果申请博士学位，90%还是需要的； 文书材料 ：

Pre-screening Requirements： Applicants should prepare video recordings (keyboard in view) of the following. Movements may be individual recordings, but each movement should be one uninterrupted recording.
Auditions are scheduled at the Curtis Institute of Music, 1726 Locust Street, Philadelphia on specific dates for each department at the convenience of the faculty. (The schedule is below.) Curtis is unable to honor requests for changes in the scheduled audition dates.

Bach, such as a prelude and fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier, a suite, or a partita A complete Classical sonata, for example, one of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, or Schubert A work of your choice from the 19th or 20th century An etude of virtuosity 密歇根大学对于prescreening的要求没有那么严格，只是要求3首作品，自己发挥空间比较大。但是audition还是一样对曲目有规定。 音乐表演硕士申请建议 1. 音乐表演大部分院校申请截止时间较早，很多都是12月就截止了，而且这个时间是要同时提交申请材料和作品集的。
（例如伯克利音乐学院流行乐较强，茱莉亚音乐学院古典音乐更为出名，弦乐和键盘类尤其出名）；
Your audition will be scheduled based on the availability of your first choice teacher (if attending), followed by your remaining preferences. It may not be possible for all of your preferred teachers to hear your audition.
